Usage And Precautions Of AC/DC Large Current Generator

I How to use it
1. When doing large current test, connect the working circuit correctly according to the circuit diagram of the product.
2. According to the output current, select the position of the large and small range switch.
3. First, return the voltage regulator to zero, and then press the start test button (green). At this time, hold the voltage regulator handle and slowly rotate the hand wheel of the voltage regulator clockwise and watch the ammeter until the required current value is reached.
4. After the test to the set value, immediately return the hand wheel of the voltage regulator to zero in the counter clockwise direction, and press the stop button to cut off the power supply.
5. The output voltage (i.e. the input voltage of the generator) is equipped with the output voltage of the autotransformer to obtain the required large current.
II Precautions
1. The test work shall not be less than two people, one for test operation and one for supervision to ensure safety.
2. The equipment shell must be grounded, do not neglect to prevent personal safety accidents because of low voltage.
3. The wire from the secondary of current riser to the tested object should not be too long, and the cross-sectional area should be sufficient (the current density can be considered as 6-8A/mm). The contact surface should be cleaned (polished with fine gauze), otherwise the joint will get hot and even the current will not rise to the rated value.
4. Before the test, check that the power supply has enough capacity, otherwise the power line heating and voltage reduction will affect the normal operation.
5. There should be no combustibles on the test site. Sufficient fire fighting equipment should be prepared for temperature rise test.
6. There shall be a person on duty on site for continuous (temperature rise) test. And regularly check the heating of current source equipment, wires and joints, and make records. Due to the variation of grid voltage, pay attention to adjust TD to maintain the rated test current.
7. The test work shall comply with the relevant provisions of electric power safety work regulations and formulate practical safety measures.
